About Us

Welcome to the Southeast Valley Women’s Club, (SEVWC). We are a non-profit, non-political, non-denominational social club comprised of women who reside in the area. The purpose of our organization is to promote friendship among women. We encourage friendships, sharing new experiences and having fun through a variety of games, activities, and special events. All of our functions are arranged and run by club volunteers.

SEVWC  formed in 1976 as a Tempe Newcomer’s Club by a group of young mothers who met over morning coffee and shared baby-sitting. The women traded experiences, invited speakers and went on field trips around the area for their education and enlightenment.  As the children grew, the club evolved and expanded into the Southeast Valley Women’s Club that we have today.

A guest speaker or presentation is usually scheduled at our monthly general business meeting, and after the meeting, a lunch is arranged at a near-by restaurant for those who choose to attend. We generally hold two luncheons per year, as well as occasionally taking trips to local points of interest. Our monthly newsletter contains details of all our activities and up-coming events.
